We believe that the loss of a pet is the loss of a family member. From puppies to seniors to their after-care, we have decided do what we feel is right for our clients. We have chosen to offer Aquamation in place of traditional fire based cremation.

What is Aquamation?

Aquamation is the natural process known as alkaline hydrolysis. Using water flow, temperature and alkalinity, it is more like natural decomposition when compared to any other method.

The difference

Aquamation has a multitude of benefits. This water based cremation is much kinder to the environment. The procedure is considered “green” by using a fraction of the energy and lessoning the carbon footprint associated with traditional cremation.

This process replicates what happens to the body when it is buried, it just accelerates the process. So it is considered a more natural option.

Another benefit is the quantity and quality of the ashes you receive back. Unlike traditional cremation, Aquamated remains resemble fine sand and contain no black, carbonized ash, or large bone fragments.

Still have questions?

If you would like more information regarding the process or would like an additional memento of your pet, Please contact Peaceful Pets Aquamation directly.

(Traditional Fire Based Cremation is still available on special request and requires additional client participation)
