We utilize multiple avenues with regards to diagnostics. We have a reference laboratory, in-house laboratory, x-ray, and ultrasound capabilities.

Reference Laboratory

We send out samples to our reference laboratory for routine blood work, urinalysis, fecal and parasite testing, cultures, cytology, and histopathology. We have a courier pick up twice a day and deliver the properly stored samples to the lab.

In-House Laboratory Equipment

We have the most clinically advanced in-house chemistry analyzer available. We use this equipment in conjunction with a hematology analyzer to run same-day tests for hospitalized and surgery patients.

We encourage clients to practice a preventative approach to their pet’s health. Our laboratory services provide preventative diagnostic screens on an annual basis during their pet’s wellness checkup.

Radiology

X-rays are a non-invasive medical imaging tool that is used to detect, treat, and understand a variety of health issues.

The Radiology equipment and software used at our facility, is created for the veterinary field with the collaboration of board certified radiologists. Our state of the art equipment allows us to provide clear and accurate x-rays for our patients within minutes.

Our in-house lab, reference lab, and x-ray all communicate with our practice management software, so the results seamlessly are transferred into the patient’s digital medical record.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging is a common diagnostic medical procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce dynamic images (sonograms) of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body. The procedure involves using a transducer, which sends a stream of high-frequency sound waves into the body and detects their echoes as they bounce off internal structures. The sound waves are then converted to electric impulses, which are processed to form an image displayed on a computer monitor.

At All Pets Veterinary Hospital, we will schedule our mobile board certified veterinary radiology specialist to visit and they will perform your pet’s ultrasound. Our goal is to provide your pet with the best medical diagnostic testing, by a specialist, at our facility. For more explanation regarding the ultrasound process please see our guide.
