Welcomed By: Mommy, Daddy & Grandma
I was adopted from the Carson Animal Shelter by my mommy and daddy on July 6, 2006. I was so sad. I had been sitting there for 3 weeks. My previous owner did not want me any more because I had a bum leg. Then I think I sat in the pound for so long because I was a black dog and there is some sort of "Black Dog Syndrome" where some folks don't want to adopt black doggies. But on July 6 to my surprize a family came and looked at me. They thought I was simply adorable and just had to take me home. Now I have a forever home, parents and feisty sister, Trixy. I love my mommy, daddy and grandma; oh yeah, and my baby sister too. My mommy and daddy had Dr. Caylor fix my leg. Then I wore out my other leg and had to get Dr. Caylor to fix it too. Now I can run, play and tease my sister. In my spare time I like to eat, sleep and pose for photos for my mommy. She says I am the perfect model, so handsome. My parents got a DNA test for me. They found out that I'm special.... very special. A special breed called 'mutt'. I got my furry coat and ears from Siberian Husky heritage and my short legs from Cocker Spaniel. They are still looking to see where the Collie and Shetland Sheepdog went.
The next time you see me at All Pets for my bath and shots, please say "Hi REX". I'll be sure to give you a bark.
